Frequently Asked Questions

Our standing desk is ideal for anyone who finds themselves working on a computer for long periods of time. freelancers, students, office workers,  new home-office workers and those who have been at it for years.  Invest in yourself and stand tall.

Our desk is made from Sustainably managed Baltic Plywood. 

The desk is a raw birchwood 18 mm plywood and so it will develop an individual patina.  

Simply use a damp cloth to wipe any spills and leave to dry. If it is a major spill you can use a light sand paper and rub the wood surface back. 


Some of our customers have chosen to varnish, danish oil or even paint their desks if you feel you want to make sure you do a test area on a hidden surface. 


We are developing a lacquered unit for those that like a more hardwearing finish. 

We are working on this and will let you know when this is ready.

Shipping times:

  • Local orders take 5/6 business days to be delivered to you and we ship within 2 business days and we us UPS or Hermes to deliver to you
  • Shipping time might vary depending on location, shipment method and other factors.

Shipping cost:

  • Orders over £50  will have free shipping.
  • Orders under £50 will be charged for shipping depending on your chosen delivery method and country. Full price will be displayed at checkout. 

Please return your item unused and in original condition (including all labels and tags intact) with proof of purchase within 30 days, and we’ll give you an exchange or refund, as long as your returned product meets our terms and conditions. 

For online and telephone purchases, we'll refund the standard delivery charge if the full order is returned within 14 days.To start a return, you can contact us at hello@helves.co If your return is accepted, we’ll send you a return shipping label, as well as instructions on how and where to send your package. Damages and issuesPlease inspect your order upon reception and contact us immediately if the item is defective, damaged or if you receive the wrong item so that we can evaluate the issue and make it right.If your product develops a fault within 30 days of purchase, please return with proof of purchase and we’ll exchange or refund it. After 30 days, we’ll repair or replace the product in accordance with the terms of the Consumer Rights Act 2015.

We will notify you once we’ve received and inspected your return, and let you know if the refund was approved or not. If approved, you’ll be automatically refunded on your original payment method, deducted £12 to restock the item and cover return courier charges. Simply add as many items as you wish to your shopping cart while browsing our store. Once you want to proceed with the order - do so by going to the cart and clicking "checkout". Follow the instructions by providing us with delivery information and select payment method the for goods - we will ship your package within 2 business days.

If you have chosen to Pay in 3 payments, Klarna will take three payments.  If you do not pay Klarna within the grace period, late fees may apply.

You can pay immediately with debit or credit card (Visa/Mastercard/American Express) or PayPal in the checkout or take advantage of our Pay Later payment option, where you can pay for the goods once you have received them via debit or credit card.


You will need to provide your name, address and email address. For some orders you may need to provide your mobile number or date of birth, too. 

All information will be sent to your email address, including payment reminders and links to your online statements.
